What is FAFSA?
FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, and allows Lake Land College to determine what financial aid is available to you.
Why should I complete the FAFSA?
The FAFSA is required to determine eligibility for federal, state, and institutional financial aid. This includes grants, student loans, work study, and many scholarships.
When should I complete the FAFSA?
The earlier you apply, the smoother the process will be. By getting a head start on the application process, you can get priority funding and make better decisions on how to plan for your education.
Applications are available for the Fall semester beginning on January 1. For priority consideration at Lake Land College, your FAFSA must be submitted by the dates below.
The FAFSA application is available online at www.fafsa.gov. Follow the instructions carefully. Be sure to include Lake Land College's school code on your application
FAFSA School Code: 007644
What happens next?
You will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) within 2-3 weeks. Lake Land College will receive your FAFSA information electronically. If we need additional information, we will send you a request for information. Once the review is complete, we will send you a letter indicating the programs and award amounts for which you qualify.
What if I need help?
Workshops are available for students, potential students and parents to help you complete the FAFSA.
