Important Annoucements

Student Ambassadors

  • Do you know a senior coming to Lake Land College in the fall? The Student Ambassador The Student Ambassadors are a group of students who serve as official representatives of Lake Land College. The Ambassadors assist the college by informing prospective students of the opportunities available to them at Lake Land. In addition, they assist with several campus organizations and personnel with special school functions.

    To become an Ambassador, students must meet the following criteria:

  • be at least a half-time student for both fall and spring semesters
  • maintain a 2.5 GPA
  • complete an application
  • complete an interview
  • Once students are selected, they attend training sessions and weekly meetings to learn more about the college. During the school year, the Ambassadors give tours of the campus, attend college/career fairs, visit high schools, and assist with special school functions.

Dual Credit Program

  • Portfolio- The list of dual credit portfolio submissions will be coming out soon. Those who will be up to complete a portfolio will be contacted. Portfolios are due May 31st.
  • Note: Lake Land College is going through re-accreditation in March- reviewers might contact your instructors to ask questions about Lake Land College.

Scholarship-

  • Foundation-Applications due March 1st for priority review - students may still apply after this date
  • Presidential Scholarship (formerly called TSA)
    • Tuition waiver scholarship awarded for a maximum of 2 consecutive calendar years beginning with the fall semester as their first enrollment period immediately following high school graduation
    • Top 15% of their class OR Act composite score of 26
