Mod II GED classes at Lake Land College begin in September

Lake Land College Adult Education has redesigned its GED preparation classes into six-week modules for the fall 2013 semester.  Mod II runs from September 30 – November 8 and Mod III runs from November 11 – December 20. 

With the new format of the classes, it is important that students attend an orientation session to complete all intake paper work and pre-class assessments.

The following are the dates, times and locations for the upcoming required orientations: 

Arthur: The Arthur Public Library, 225 S. Walnut on September 26 at 5 p.m. and November 7 at 5 p.m. 

Charleston: Coles County Health Department, 825 18th St. on September 25 at 8:30 a.m. and November 6 at 8:30 a.m. 

Cowden: Cowden Community Center, W. Locust St. on September 30 at 5:30 p.m. and November 11 at 5:30 p.m. 

Effingham: Kluthe Center, 1204 Network Center Dr. on September 24 at 12:30 p.m. and November 5 at 12:30 p.m.

Greenup: Greenup VFW, 106 S. Mill St. on September 24 at 4:30 p.m. and November 5 at 5 p.m.

Marshall: LLC Eastern Region Center, 224 S. 6th St. on September 26 at 4:30 p.m. and November 7 at 4:30 p.m.

Mattoon: LLC Adult Education Center, 1617 Lake Land Blvd. on September 30 at 9 a.m. and November 11 at 9 a.m.

Shelbyville: Shelby Christian Church, 200 N. Hickory St. on September 25 at 5:30 p.m. and November 6 at 5:30 p.m.

Sullivan: First United Methodist Church, 216 W. Jefferson St. on September 23 at 5:30 p.m. and November 4 at 5:30 p.m. 

Paris: First United Methodist Church, 324 W. Court St. on September 30 at 8 a.m. and November 11 at 8 a.m. or at the Paris Human Resource Center, 753 E. Court St. on September 24 at 4:30 p.m. or November 5 at 4:30 p.m.

The following are the days, times and locations of the GED courses: 

Arthur:  Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5-9 p.m. at the Arthur Public Library, 225 S. Walnut

Charleston:  Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 – 9 p.m. at the Coles County Health Department, 825 18th St.

Cowden:  Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the Cowden Community Center, W. Locust St.

Effingham: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-4:30 p. m. or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 – 9 p. m. at the Kluthe Center, 1204 Network Center Dr.

Greenup: Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 – 9 p.m. at the Greenup VFW, 106 S. Mill St.

Marshall: Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the LLC Eastern Region Center, 224 S. 6th St.

Mattoon: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 – 9 p.m. at the LLC Adult Education Center, 1617 Lake Land Blvd. 

Shelbyville: Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the Shelby Christian Church, 200 N. Hickory St.

Sullivan: Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 216 W. Jefferson St.

Paris: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to noon at the First United Methodist Church, 324 W. Court St. or Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Paris Human Resource Center, 753 E. Court St.
