Nominating petitions require the signatures of at least 50 registered voters and should be filed with the office of the executive assistant. The candidate may file in person, by mail or by a representative. Each board candidate must also submit a statement of candidacy and a receipt indicating he or she has filed a statement of economic interest with the Coles County Clerk.
