Calling all beer lovers: Lake Land College to offer home brewing class
If you enjoy cracking open a nice, cold beer, the Lake Land College Office of Community and Professional Programs has just the class for you!
Home Brewing 101 will offer participants the opportunity to learn everything about beer from the history and traditions that surround one of the world’s oldest beverages to learning how to make your favorite style right in your own kitchen.
“I think folks would be rather surprised about how extensive the world of beer really is,” said Glen Forneris, instructor. “We’ll discuss various beer styles where participants will have a chance to try some more rare and exotic brews, and then we’ll finish with a home brewing demonstration where I’ll take participants through the step-by-step beer making process.”
The course section is CNC-015-23156 and will meet Wednesdays Sept. 11, 18, 25, and Oct. 2nd from 6-7p.m. in West Building, room 119. In addition, class will meet Oct. 9 from 6-9 p.m., for a three-hour home brewing demonstration. The last class will meet on Oct. 30 from 6-7 p.m. to try the final product. Participants must be 21 years of age or older and photo identification is required. The cost of the class is $60.
