Lake Land College presidential search finalists on campus this week

Three candidates in the Lake Land College presidential search will be on campus this week for formal interviews and meetings with faculty, staff, students and community leaders.

Jonathan (Josh) Bullock, Ph.D. is the vice president for strategic advancement at Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac, Wis. He spent the day on campus Monday. Prior to taking on the vice presidential role in 2008, he was the institutional research and institutional advancement partner at the same institution from 2002 to 2008. Since 1993 he has been an adjunct professor at Marian University. His academic background includes a doctoral degree from Marian University, a master’s in business administration from the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh and a bachelor’s of business administration from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

Keith Cornille, Ed.D., is the vice president of student development at Madison Area Technical College. He will visit campus on Tuesday. Prior to taking on the vice presidency in 2010, he was the executive dean of learner development from 2006 to 2009 and student life administrator from 2000 to 2006 at the same institution.  He has a doctorate of education from Edgewood College, a master’s degree in educational administration from Northeastern Illinois University, a bachelor’s degree in political science from Eastern Illinois University and an associate degree from the College of DuPage.

Matt Fowler, Ph.D., is the president of Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel, Ill. He will visit Lake Land on Wednesday. Prior to taking on the presidency role in 2007, he was the dean of instruction from 2003 to 2007 and a full-time faculty member from 1999 to 2003 at the same institution.  He has a doctoral degree from the University of Nebraska, a master’s in business administration from Morehead State University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Millikin University. 

The Lake Land College Presidential Search Advisory Committee recommended the three candidates following its extensive review of all the applicants. The candidates will begin their day with a community leaders breakfast, followed by meetings with faculty, staff, students and a luncheon with President Scott Lensink. The day will conclude with a formal interview with the Lake Land College Board of Trustees.
