Occasionally the Communications and Creative Services Office takes photographs of students in College for Kids classes. The photographs are used in the college's publications, brochures and website. They may also appear on social media sites. If you object to having a photograph of your child taken and/or used in this manner, please contact Community and Professional Programs at (217) 234-5219 prior to the first meeting of your child's class.


Threading and Sugaring

This class will cover advanced waxing techniques such as a basic leg & underarm hair removal, basic bikini wax, as well as a demonstration of a Brazilian wax. You will also learn the difference between soft & hard waxes and what area of the body is beneficial to use for each type. Come and join Susu Naroze who will be demonstrating the Threading technique, a non-chemical facial hair remover; and the Sugaring technique, a non-chemical body wax. She has been practicing these techniques for 18 years. Participants will be able to practice on each other. The cost of $39 covers the seminar, a light snack, and a 3 CE's for Cosmetologists and Estheticians. Registrations is required no later than December 4, 2015.
