Rights and Responsibilities

You have the responsibility to:

• Apply for financial aid annually and prior to May 1 proceeding the fall semester you will be attending;
• Read, understand and retain copies of all information and/or forms that are sent to you or that you must sign;
• Submit all forms required to complete the application process;
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress; and
• Keep your address current with Lake Land College’s Admissions and Records Office.

You have the right to:

• Be advised of what financial aid programs are available and how to apply for them;
• Be advised of requirements in the case of withdrawal, refunds and repayments of financial aid;
• Have all financial aid application information treated with the highest professional confidentiality;
• Be advised of procedures and deadlines for submitting application(s) for financial aid;
• Be advised of how and when financial aid funds are distributed; and
• Request a review of your financial aid package if family and/or financial circumstances have changed.
