Is this the fair for you?
Find out ahead of time what employers will be in attendance and the positions they are hiring for.
Dress appropriately!
This is serious business and you need to look the part. Dress like you are going to a job interview and be conservative.
Resumes, resumes, resumes.
Take several copies of your resume and transcripts. Also take supporting documents to show your skills and talents.
Create a game plan.
Decide who you want to talk to and plan out your strategy. Warm up by talking to a few companies before making your way to your favorites.
Evaluation is a two-way street!
Employers will be evaluating you - so be professional. Keep in mind, though, that you are also evaluating employers. Size them up an decide if it is an organization you would want to work for.
Take notes.
It is important to get names of contacts correct and make notes of what was discussed. A well-written cover or follow-up letter will include that information
