ST. GEORGE, Utah - Lake Land scored seven runs in the top of the seventh inning for a wild 15-13 win over Paris, Texas, in Thursday night's elimination game of the NJCAA national softball tournament.
The Lakers trailed 13-8 going into the final inning.
Cheriese Boyd's single tied the game with two outs and then Rachel Keller hit a two-run single to put the Lakers ahead.
Reliever Alex Smith retired Paris in the bottom of the seventh for the win.
Lake Land had lost 12-2 to Chipola, Fla., earlier in the evening to fall into the losers' bracket.
The Lakers survived to play a 3:30 p.m. Central time Thursday game.
