Student Right-to-Know Information

Prospective and current Lake Land College students benefit from information regarding a variety of aspects regarding the college’s academic programs, completion and graduation rates, athletic program participation, financial aid programs, campus safety and security policies and crime statistics.

The following information is presented in accordance with state and federal regulations including Title 34 CFR Part 668, Student Right-to-Know, Campus Security Act and Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act. Resources for additional information are presented throughout.

Academic Programs

Accommodations for Students with Disabilities
Information regarding support services for students with disabilities are provided in a variety of college publications including the college catalog. Information is also available on the Office of Student Accommodations website, http://www.lakeland.cc.il.us/ss/spn/.

Accreditation, Approval and Licensure
Lake Land College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission – North Central Association; Commission for Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education – American Physical Therapy Association; Council on Dental Education, American Dental Association; Cosmetology - State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation; National League for Nursing Accrediting Committee; National Phlebotomy Association; Automotive Services Excellence Master Certified.  Courses and programs are approved through the Illinois Community College Board and the Illinois Board of Higher Education and the Illinois Articulation Initiative as appropriate. Alcohol and Drug Abuse Policy and Prevention
In accordance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988, Lake Land College must inform students and employees of the college policies regarding drug and alcohol use. All students should review this information.Students should also review the Student Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedures

Campus Security
The annual security report provides information regarding crime statistics, policies for students and others to report criminal actions or other emergencies, and other important information regarding the college’s law enforcement. Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and Student Records

Financial Assistance

Graduation and Transfer-Out Rates
This information describes the graduation and transfer rates of the general Lake Land College student population based upon the most recent calendar year.

Harassment/Sexual Harassment
Faculty, staff and students have a right to be free from harassment. The policy linked below is designed to foster an environment free from harassment, to encourage victims of harassment to report their concerns, and to provide corrective action where necessary.

Sexual Assault Awareness Information
Lake Land College provides a variety of educational programs to increase sexual assault awareness among students. Students may find additional information through the online RAINN Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network.

Voter Registration
Students may register to vote at the County Clerk's offices throughout the Lake Land College District or on the Lake Land College campus in Mattoon at the offices of Admissions and Records, Counseling Services and Vice President for Student Services. Voter registration is open year round except during the 27 day period prior to an election and during the 2 day period after each election. Two forms of identification with at least one showing the address of the current residence is needed when registering. Students may download voter registration forms here:
