Steps to Login to Web Mail

What is My Email User Name?

Your initial user name for your student e-mail account will be the same as your IRIS user ID.

For example, if Jane Doe's IRIS ID is jdoe123, her user ID and e-mail address will be:

What is My Password?

Your password is your IRIS password. Resetting your IRIS password resets your e-mail password automatically.

If you have forgotten your IRIS password, please contact the Center for Technology and Professional Development at 217-234-5439. Once the IRIS password is reset, it will default back to your six digit date of birth (MM/DD/YY). You must first login into IRIS to reset your password before logging into web mail.

Where to Login to Webmail

Note: Internet Explorer is the recommended browser to use for accessing web mail. If you use another browser, web mail may function and look slightly different than the screen shots in this tutorial.

  1. To login to your e-mail account using the web mail access, open any Web browser and go to http://mail.lakeland.cc.il.us.
  2. Click on the Student button and type your user name and password when prompted.
  3. The Outlook Web Access interface will load in the browser.
  4. Once you are done viewing mail, log off and close all browser windows so no one else can access your e-mail account.
