How to do I login to my online course?

Please Note: Access to Blackboard begins on the first day of the semester.

Go to the following web address, http://blackboard.lakeland.cc.il.us. The user ID and password you will use is the same as your IRIS ID and password.

What is My IRIS User ID?

If you do not know your IRIS ID and password, follow the instructions below to look up IRIS ID.

  1. Go to www.lakelandcollege.edu
  2. Click Current Students.
  3. Click IRIS.
  4. Click User ID Account Information.

  5. Click What’s my User ID?

  6. The first time you login to IRIS the default password is your six digit date of birth. If you have not login into IRIS for the first time login now to change the password and setup your account.  The new password must be six to nine characters long and have a combination of numbers and letters. You will use the same user ID and password to login to Blackboard. If you cannot remember your password, please contact the Center for Technology and Professional Development at 217-234-5439 for a password reset.
