Internet Explorer 7 - Cookie Settings

Cookies are text files downloaded to a visitor's computer hard drive to store visitor's actions in order to better customized their following visits to the same website. Cookies must be enabled to use Blackboard. Below are the steps to complete this task in Internet Explorer.

  1. Go to Tools > Internet Options.
  2. In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Privacy tab
  3. Click the Advanced...
  4. In the Advanced Privacy Settings dialog box, place a checkmark in the box next to Override automatic cookie handling.
  5. Under First-Party Cookies, select the radio button next to Accept.

Clearing All Cookies

  1. Go to Tools > Internet Options.
  2. In the Internet Options dialog box, click the General tab.
  3. Under Browsing history, click the Delete button.
  4. Next to Cookies click Delete Cookies .
  5. A dialog box will appear asking Are you sure you want to delete all cookies in the Temporary Internet Files folder? Click Yes.
  6. Click Close and then OK.
