Threaded Discussion Topic
In a threaded discussion topics messages will be grouped together by threads. A thread consists of a message and all reply messages to it. When messages are displayed as threads, each message that starts a thread will have a plus sign next to it. Click the plus sign to open the thread. The thread now displays with a minus sign next to first message in the thread. Click the minus sign to close the thread. The message list can be displayed as threaded or unthreaded and by all or unread messages. In the message list each message displays with checkbox next to it. When the checkbox is selected, messages can be marked as read or unread. A printable view can be created with selected messages that can be printed or saved to a file. In some courses students may be able to go back to a message they created and edit the message.
