Chat/Whiteboard

Some courses may use the Chat/Whiteboard feature for synchronized meetings. Before access chat you should complete the browser tune-up located on Blackboard login page or go to the following web address, http://www.webct.com/tuneup to make sure the Java settings are set correctly.

  1. Whiteboard: A place to draw objects on the screen. Tools will display on right. The instructor may allow all students to partcipant using the whiteboard or may set the whiteboard to Handraise mode.
  2. Chat: The Chat window will display under the Whiteboard. The chat log will appear with a box underneath to type new chat messages.
  3. Partcipant List: The participant list will display to the right of chat log window.
