Foundation Application - Lake Land College, Mattoon Illinois

This entire application must be completed and returned to the Lake Land College Foundation office by 5:00 p.m. March 1 to be considered for a scholarship for the following academic year. Applications received after that time will be considered as scholarships become available, funding permits, and individual needs are determined. You may also apply online at www.lakelandcollege.edu/foundation.

Only one application needs to be submitted for consideration of all scholarships. In addition to this application, a special application is required for the LLC Faculty Association scholarships. Please contact the Foundation Office at (217) 234-5363 for information on these scholarships. Current recipients must reapply.

To be considered for a scholarship, students must submit an application for admission to Lake Land College and be officially enrolled for a minimum of 12 semester hours, or be classified to be full-time by program of study. Students are strongly encouraged to complete a Free Application for Federal/Student Aid (FAFSA). Contact the office of Financial Aid to apply for Federal Financial Aid.

Scholarships are awarded to Lake Land College students based on the following three criteria. Please complete each with an essay of approximately 100 words each: 1.) Your career goals and aspirations 2.) How would a Foundation scholarship help you achieve your goals 3.) Volunteer activities i.e., school, community, church and family. Please prepare your personal statement carefully by addressing each of the three criteria. Detailed essays and use of proper grammar will dramatically increase your chances of receiving a scholarship through the Foundation. Limit your comments to one page and attach it to your application.
