Phase I building dedication in Judge’s honor. (September 12, 1971): On a warm Sunday afternoon, almost 2,000 people attended a ceremony officially opening the college’s library. The Virgil H. Judge Learning Resource Center was named in honor of the then current president, who was instrumental in bringing a community college to the area. Those attending the event toured the new building, listened to a planned program by community leaders, and met members of the LLC staff.
