Founders’ Day celebrates College’s 15 years of services (November 29, 1981): Held in the theater, the College’s “Founders’ Day” celebration honored the men and women who, fifteen years earlier, began the process of bringing a junior college to the area. In addition to performances by the Lake Land College Choir, directed by Steve Stauffenberg, special presentations were given by charter board members like Robert Johnston, and Faculty President James Decker. After a benediction by Ruth Cooper, an original Steering Committee Member, a reception followed.
