College changes from quarters to semesters (August 27, 1984): Since the College’s first year of offering classes, faculty and staff had debated whether or not to shift from a quarters to semester schedule. 18 years later that shift finally occurred, a move that despite creating a great deal of logistical challenges to overcome, ultimately improved transferability to four-year universities for students, as well as streamlined financial aid distribution.
