Lake Land College to host FAFSA Frenzy

Don’t wait to fill out the 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Instead, attend the Lake Land College FAFSA Frenzy!
Lake Land College, in coordination with the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), is hosting FAFSA Frenzy on Thurs., March 6 from 2-6 p.m. in Webb Hall, room 109 on the Lake Land College campus, 5001 Lakeland Blvd., Mattoon.
Participants of the FAFSA Frenzy need to bring the following:
• a copy of the student’s and parent’s 2013 federal tax return and all W-2’s (if filing). If 2013 tax information is unavailable, tax information can be estimated using W-2s or 2012 tax returns;
• 2013 asset and investment information for the student and parent;
• a federal student aid pin number for the student and one parent that should be applied for ahead of time at www.pin.ed.gov ;
• and a printed copy of the 2014-2015 FAFSA worksheet that is available at www.fafsa.gov.
Participants are encouraged to fill out the printed 2014-2015 FAFSA worksheet as much as possible before the meeting. All students, parents and those interested in pursuing college are encouraged to attend. Help is not limited to current Lake Land College students. This event is free and open to the public. Megan Couty, ISACorp representative, will attend the event to assist.
