Lake Land College Kluthe Center offers early bird speech class

If you are a morning person, there is no better way to start your day than to take a speech class at the Lake Land College Kluthe Center in Effingham.

For the upcoming fall semester, Intro to Speech, SPE111-30896, will be offered during a special early bird session from 6:45-7:35 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

According to Karen Kull, director of the Kluthe Center, this is a great way to receive college credits for those working or already enrolled in high school.

“For high school students, they can come to the Kluthe Center and take this class before their school day begins, or for those working, this is a great way to get class out of the way and still make it to work on time,” said Kull.

Kull also added that some area high schools are no longer offering speech classes, a requirement for most undergraduate degrees.

For more information, contact the Kluthe Center at 217-540-3501. To register, contact Admissions and Records at 217-234-5058, or visit
