Lake Land College’s Child Care Lab opens enrollment period for summer programs
Lake Land College’s Child Care Lab will be accepting enrollment for the upcoming summer semester.
In the summer, the Child Care Lab has two programs – one for children between the ages of two and four years old, who are completely toilet trained, and another for school aged children between the ages of five and 10 years old. The school aged program begins on Tuesday, May 28 and concludes on Thursday, Aug. 8. Children who are attending kindergarten in the fall will transition into the school aged classroom during the afternoon period to help them prepare for their first year at school.
This high quality program is affordable, flexible and an excellent preschool and early childhood learning experience.
“The summer school program is popular because it is fun, exciting and creative, with the type of summertime activities that keep the children’s interest in learning,” said Shelia Hughes, director of the Child Care Lab. “Parents trust this academically advanced and developmentally balanced, bright, friendly and convenient environment to be clean and safe, which are important aspects when selecting a child care facility.”
According to Hughes, the overall program commitment is focused on educating young minds for a better world. Also, the location of the Child Care Lab on Lake Land’s campus offers a great option for those parents who commute to the area from surrounding communities, she said. Hours of operation for the Child Care Lab during the summer programs run Monday through Thursday from 7:15 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. to accommodate work schedules. The college is closed on Fridays during the summer session.
General public enrollment is now accepted without restrictions and no Lake Land College affiliation is necessary.
