Lake Land College seeks an experienced and energetic leader to serve as its next Vice President for Business Services. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President is the chief fiscal officer of the College and guides overall leadership and vision for the business services unit of the college. The Vice President works as part of the executive leadership team to provide strategic and innovative leadership and oversight for all business services operations of the College, including strategic planning, development, administration, supervision, and evaluation for the operating departments of finance and accounting, buildings and grounds, human resources, information systems and services, auxiliary services, and facilities planning. The Vice President serves as chief advisor to the President in all matters of planning and managing the finances and general business operations for a College with annual budgeted expenditures of nearly $73 million, and an annual operating budget of over $38 million.

The successful candidate must have a Master’s Degree and at least five years of progressively responsible administrative experience in finance, accounting, business services, employee relations or related field. In addition, the successful candidate must be able to develop and interpret detailed financial statements, with a demonstrated knowledge of contemporary theories and practices in Finance and Administration. Public sector or Community college experience, with a master’s degree in finance or accounting, is desirable.

Lake Land College, a public, comprehensive community college in East Central Illinois, serves approximately 24,000 credit and non-credit students, and 7,000 FTE annually. The College service area is nearly 4,000 square miles and includes 31 school districts and all or part of 15 counties.
