Lake Land College seeks an experienced and energetic academic leader to serve as its next Vice President for Academic Services. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President is the chief academic officer of the College and guides overall leadership and vision for the academic unit of the college. The Vice President works as part of the executive leadership team to champion a progressive, student-centered learning environment through the development and support of a strong academic leadership team, while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for college faculty. As the chief academic officer, the Vice President serves as chief advisor to the President in all matters affecting academic programs and services. The Vice President has direct responsibility for academic operations and planning, including budgeting, staffing, program development and continuous improvement for all academic programs and services. As an officer of the College, the Vice President for Academic Services will assist in leading the College’s ongoing efforts to build a strong learning community and to expand P-20 initiatives to best meet the needs of the students and communities served by the College.

The successful candidate must have a Master’s Degree and at least five years of college- level administrative experience at the division chair/dean level or higher, with demonstrated accomplishments in academic leadership. In addition, the successful candidate must demonstrate innovation, creativity and strategic thinking in providing a learning-centered environment for students and staff. A Doctorate and experience teaching is strongly preferred.

Lake Land College, a public, comprehensive community college in East Central Illinois, serves approximately 24,000 credit and non-credit students, and 7,000 FTE annually. The College service area is nearly 4,000 square miles and includes 31 school districts and all or part of 15 counties.
