Human Services Program - Online Handbook

Welcome to Lake Land College’s Human Services Program.

This handbook will provide you with information needed to guide you through the Human Services Program. It cannot possibly contain answers to all of your questions, so please contact the Program Coordinator or the Internship Supervisor with any questions or concerns.

The Human Services Program is designed for persons who are interested in the helping fields. The program will prepare students to work in a variety of settings including areas of education, psychology, criminal justice, sociology and health. Students will gain skills, knowledge and training in the classroom, as well as hands on training through internships. Students who complete the program will be awarded an Associate in Applied Science Degree.

You are entering a career that has many opportunities. It is our sincere hope that you will find this program to be rewarding.
