They may also appear on social media sites. Learn how to preserve a cemetery, probe, clean, simple marker repair, resources, laws, and support groups. John Heider, professional restoration specialist, will explain cemetery care, marker preservation and restoration. Morning will be in the classroom, afternoon hands-on outdoor session. Find the "unusual" and "miscellaneous" information you need in this second step of your genealogical search. Discover new research tools and where to look in vital records for births, adoptions, marriages and deaths. Use census, tax, land records, and maps, gazettes, atlases, city directories, county histories and military records to trace lineage. Specific tips will be provided for searching Native American, African American, Hispanic, and religious groups.

Learn how to access and utilize ship passenger lists, immigration and naturalization, American migration trails, and homestead applications. I. and Secret Service officials, and divorces. Tips will be provided for using family Bibles, journals, and diaries.
