Massage Therapy

St-Runner's Rehab

This course will teach attendees current evidence based treatment strategies for working with injured runners. The main focus will be distance running but we will cover sprinting mechanics as well. Attendees will learn typical treatment strategies for common running injuries, how to perform a video gait analysis, how to recommend proper footwear, and the phases of a running stride. The attendee will learn the biomechanics of a running stride and how this can impact healing/injuries. The attendee will learn techniques to be able to efficiently modify his/her patients' running mechanics. Return to running progressions will be discussed as well.
