Education Background

Tynia Kessler graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a B.S. in Business with a concentration in Accounting. She began work at Lake Land College as a Bookkeeper in the Accounting Office in 1995. Within 6 months, she became the supervisor of the Accounting Office and oversaw the day to day operations. In 1997, she became the Director of Financial Aid at the College. During her time as Director, she continued her education by obtaining an MBA from Eastern Illinois University. In 2005 she accepted the position of Admissions Specialist, a role which allowed her to direct the operations of the Student Ambassador program and the high school recruiting activities of the college. During this time, she taught business courses part-time for the College. In 2011, she accepted a full time position teaching accounting courses. Tynia has lived in the Stewardson-Strasburg area all her life and enjoys helping her husband on their family farm as well as keeping up with her two children.
