Transfer Program
Pre-Medicine (AS.PMED)
The following courses are recommended for Pre-Medicine students. These courses meet the pre-medicine transfer requirements for the University of Illinois Medical School and other medical schools in Illinois. Upon completion of this course sequence, pre-medicine students will receive an associate in science degree.
Most professional schools require a third year of pre-medicine leading toward a baccalaureate degree. Pre-medicine students may also have to consider summer school. Additional courses include one full year of foreign language, one full year of college physics, plus additional mathematics, history and literature. For further information, contact a pre-medicine advisor.
This is a sample list of major requirements. Consult a counselor or academic advisor before registering. Four-year college requirements vary from college to college.
Specific graduation requirements are identified through degree audit. Additional developmental courses in math, reading and English may be required based on placement scores. Only courses with a course number of 100 or higher meet graduation requirements for AA/AS/AES degrees.
