Pre-Engineering (AS.PENG)



This is a sample of major requirements. Consult a counselor or academic advisor before registering. Four-year college requirements vary from college to college. This degree is designed for students who do not plan to transfer to the University of Illinois. Students who are planning to transfer to the U of I should see the Engineering (AES.ENGR) degree program.


Specific graduation requirements are identified through degree audit. Additional developmental courses in math, reading and English may be required based on placement scores. Only courses with a course number of 100 or higher meet graduation requirements for AA/AS/AES degrees.

General principles of chemistry for students majoring in chemistry, engineering or science professions.

Differential and integral calculus of elementary functions of one variable, such as polynomial, rational, radical, trigonometric, inverse trigonometric, exponential and logarithmic functions, will be covered.
