Airframe and Powerplant Aviation Mechanics (AAS.APAM)

Associate Degree in Applied Science

This program is a joint venture between Lake Land College and Lincoln Land Community College. The aviation mechanics associate degree program provides the student with an opportunity to obtain the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate and simultaneously earn an associate in applied science degree. The program is designed to meet all FAA certification standards and emphasizes working experience with maintenance and repair of modern aircraft engines and airframes. Students may prefer to complete the Aviation Mechanics courses only for certificate purposes. Each student is expected to own or purchase a tool set while attending the aviation classes.
